Velin, an elf with the War Priestess class, is a force to be reckoned with in Nova Terra. Not only is she one of the best strategic and organizational minds in the game, she also has some spells that are near-impossible to counter as well as those suited for healing and supporting her teammates. She is a professional player previously employed by the guild Ragnarok but has since left. Velin is cool and collected, not one to be thrown off or disheveled easily nor to use her words carelessly. Her demeanor may seem austere, but she cares deeply for her friends, cracking a smile occassionally when with those whom she loves. Mature and pragmatic, Velin is an excellent pro player, invaluable teammate, and reliable friend. ==Background== Velin has been friends with Mina since elementary school, and they even went to college together, where she got a degree in information engineering. They played Nova Terra during these years, and after graduation she joined and was hired by Ragnarok as an analyst. Upon joining the guild she received her class, War Priestess, by the Holy Crimson Cardinal that was a part of Ragnarok. She was registered to Ragnarok's third team led by Ouroboros, along with Mina and Jorge. ==In the Books== ++++Book #1: Titan | Velin and her team are on a quest to explore a nearby valley and remove the kobold threat that has been growing there. They are joined by Thorn, whose job is to gather all the valuables they come across. Along the way, Velin and her colleagues teach Thorn about some of the aspects of the game. After completing the quest, Velin and her teammates leave Thorn in order to do ore-gathering runs for their guild. The team also takes the time to plan the next stage of their quest to explore the valley where the kobolds were. Suspecting that there may be a powerful class to be found in the valley, Ouroboros and Velin convince the others to betray Thorn, should the opportunity present itself, in order for Ouroboros to acquire the class using Thorn's Destiny points. Velin makes a plan for how this might be done. Rejoined by Thorn, the party returns to the valley they now know to be Davyos's Fall. Within the valley, they find the ruins of a city, containing a temple to the wolf god Hati. The temple, Hati's Ascent, is full of corrupted wolfkin and monsters, and the party fights there way to the top to find the altar. There they find a manifestation of an archdevil, Karrandras the Betrayer. The party defeats the manifestation, which then offers them a reward for fighting so well. Ouroboros asks for a new class, and Velin and the others surprise Thorn and subdue him before he realizes what is going on. Velin helps complete the ritual to transfer Thorn's Destiny points to Ouroboros. Though she shows some hesitation, Velin carries out the plan, and the Ragnarok players leave Thorn for dead. ++++ ++++Book #2: Greymane | Velin sees a change in Ouroboros ever since he got his new class, and she soon finds it unbearable working with him. She eventually leaves Ragnarok, along with Mina. Regretting her role in Thorn's betrayal, Velin and Mina send a message to Thorn to apologize. They meet in Berum and apologize more formally to Thorn and are surprised when he immediately forgives them. They decide to join Thorn on his quest to find Greymane Keep and assume the title of Lord Greymane. He offers them contracts to join an elite team, which they accept. Velin identifies the likely location of Greymane Keep in Fang Valley, but separates from Thorn to handle affairs in the real world. She and Mina rejoin him in the valley, and they make their way to the keep and clear it of all the werewolves that have made it their home. While Thorn seeks to improve their defenses for Ragnarok's approaching army, Velin takes stock of the keep and plans out the development of the valley to prepare for the Ragnarok forces that are approaching as well as the new players that will soon flood Fang Valley, as it will become the starting area for players who choose to play as a wolfkin. Ragnarok arrives at the valley and besieges Thorn and his forces. Velin plays an important role in stalling the siege, directing the defenders of the valley and helping Thorn develop their tactics to stall Ragnarok's advance. Near the end of the battle, Velin uses her Flame Strike spell to destroy three of the enemy's siege towers. Ragnarok is eventually driven back, and Velin and the rest celebrate with a feast. ++++
